Bathing time can often be challenging for parents and the animal kingdom, as proven by a heartwarming scene in the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra, India.
In a series of stunning photographs, a rescued tiger mother was spotted attempting to give her playful cub a bath in the river. Instead of cooperating, the cub seemed more interested in splashing around and having fun.
Captured by Ninad Sane, a 26-year-old Mumbai software tester and amateur photographer, these charming images showcase the tender moments between the tiger mother and her cub. Ninad had been observing the behaviors of these magnificent creatures in the reserve.
Recalling the moment, Ninad shared, “I had been eagerly waiting to witness the tiger mother and her cubs, and finally, they appeared near the riverbank.”
He added, “The cub, much like a human child, couldn’t resist the urge to splash around joyfully in the water, while the mother maintained a watchful eye, displaying remarkable patience.”
Despite the playful antics of her cub, the mother tiger remained calm and in control throughout the encounter.
In a touching display of affection, she even shared a tender moment, planting a kiss on her cub’s lips after the bath.
This heartwarming scene serves as a reminder of the strong maternal instincts and affectionate bonds that exist not only among humans but also within the animal kingdom.
